<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress defects caused by force in a direction crossing an extension direction of an optical fiber cable. <P>SOLUTION: An optical connector 10 includes a housing 23 for housing a housed section 11 extended from a ferrule 12 for housing an optical fiber 17A exposed from a terminal portion of an optical fiber cable 17 to the terminal portion of the optical fiber cable 17. The housing 23 includes: a first housing 24 provided over the entire housed section 11 in the extension direction thereof, and exposing at lease a portion of the housed section 11 in the peripheral direction thereof; and a second housing 44 mounted on the first housing 24 so as to cover the exposed portion of the housed section 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
