PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display device and reproduction device capable of identifying and excluding a signal which is from an apparatus connected to an interface and disturbs cooperation control, in performing the cooperation control among other video apparatuses by simultaneously using a plurality of interfaces.

SOLUTION: A device for receiving and displaying video information from a reproduction device has a configuration which: has a display circuit for displaying the video information received at a first and second interfaces through which information is transmitted/received with the reproduction device; transmits a first connection confirmation signal for confirming connection with the reproduction device through the first interface; receives a response signal to the first connection confirmation signal; transmits a second connection confirmation signal for confirming connection with the reproduction device through the second interface; receives a response signal to the second connection confirmation signal; and enables a function utilizing the first and second interfaces to be available with the reproduction device, when having received the response signals to the first and second connection confirmation signals.
