<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means of restricting reduction in cell energy density and also improving life characteristics in an electric device which uses a separator having heat resistant insulation layers laminated one on another on the surface of a porous base body. <P>SOLUTION: In an electric device, at least one electric cell layer consisting of a cathode, an electrolyte layer having a nonaqueous electrolyte held in a separator, and an anode which are each laminated in that order is included. The separator includes a heat resistant insulation layer containing a porous base body layer, inorganic particles formed on one or both sides of the porous base body layer, and a binder, and also satisfies the expression (1) below. In the expression, x is a ratio (L/V) of the nonaqueous electrolyte, L, to the total cubic volume of holes in the cathode, the anode and the separator, V, where x≥1, and y is a ratio (Vs/V) of the cubic volume of holes in the separator, Vs, to the total cubic volume of holes in the cathode, the anode and the separator, V, where y>0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
