<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely reduce a channel scanning time in a wireless LAN terminal radio-connected to a plurality of access point devices interconnected by a LAN. <P>SOLUTION: Communication range information of an access point device, which is obtained based on the position relationship between the access point device and the wireless LAN terminal when the wireless LAN terminal is subordinate to the access point device, is stored into a storage unit in association with the use channel information of the access point device. Before channel scanning, the position of the self-device is detected by position detection means. It is discriminated whether the communication range information in which the detected position of the self-terminal is included is stored in the storage unit. If it is discriminated that the communication range information in which the detected position of the self-terminal is included is stored in the storage unit, channel scanning is started from a channel identified by the use channel information which is stored in the storage unit in association with the communication range information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
