<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain stiffness enough for supporting an operation part of an image forming apparatus, and thus allowing the image forming apparatus to obtain stiffness enough for dealing with a force on the operation part. <P>SOLUTION: An exterior material 8 fixed to a body structure 2 holds a rotation center position of an operation part 4. The exterior material 8 is fixed to the body structure 2 with screw, and is arranged in a lower part of the operation part 4. The attachment of the operation part 4 to the exterior material 8 results in a holding power enough for holding the operation part 4. A rib 9 is provided on a top surface of the exterior material 8 providing a prescribed gap 12 by the height of the rib 9 between the exterior material 8, and a bracket exterior material 10 covering a bracket 6 or an exterior material 11 of the operation part 4. The bracket exterior material 10 and the bracket 6 contact with each other on the bottom surface of the bracket 6. When an unexpected force is applied on the operation part 4, the force is transmitted to the exterior material 8 through the operation part 4, the bracket 6 and the bracket exterior material 10 to be received by the body structure 2, thus not allowing the bracket 6 or the like to be deformed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
