<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a condenser lens that achieves high optical performance such as a long object distance and a large numerical aperture and that is short in overall length, and to provide a microscope device having this condenser lens. <P>SOLUTION: The condenser lens CL, which is used in the microscope device 10 and condenses observation light from a specimen, comprises, in order from the side where observation light is condensed and emitted; a first lens group G1 having positive refractive power; a second lens group G2 having positive refractive power; and a third lens group G3 having positive refractive power.
