<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle which improves drivability at a shift change. <P>SOLUTION: Prestored map data mapA are read, the map data mapA are compared with a vehicle speed V, and it is determined whether or not cranking should be performed. When a value of a counter C reaches a time t1 for delaying a start and exceeds it, the cranking is not performed while off-controlling an engine start delay requirement, and control processing is finished. In the map data mapA, a charging power upper limit value Win is separated from 0 toward a minus side, and a determination vehicle speed for delaying timing for starting an engine 10 is set high. When the charging power upper limit value Win is low, a threshold of the determination vehicle speed for delaying the timing for starting the engine 10 is set low.
