<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor which can prevent an occurrence of a crack on a rear end portion of a detection element. <P>SOLUTION: An angle θ1 between a first width edge line HR1 formed by a first main surface 21 and a first chamfered portion 133 and a first side H1 formed by a first lateral surface 111 and the first main surface 21 is set to be greater than 90°. On account of this, the first width edge line HR1 is provided closer to a rear end side than to a corner portion S1. Accordingly, when a rear end portion of a detection element 7 is inserted into a separator 13, even if the detection element 7 is not coaxially inserted with respect to the separator 13 and is inserted in an inclined manner with respect to the separator 13, by bringing an opening and an internal surface (internal surface of a through hole 11) of the separator 13 into contact with the first width edge line HR1, the corner portion S1 of the detection element 7 is hardly brought into contact with the opening and the internal surface of the separator 13, and a crack hardly occurs. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
