PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermally transferring image receiving sheet with improved handling properties and a method for manufacturing the same.

SOLUTION: The thermally transferring image receiving sheet has a substrate, and a hollow layer and a receiving layer on the substrate in this order, and at least one layer of the layers constituting the face side having the receiving layer on the substrate includes a laminar silicate. By using the thermally transferring image receiving sheet satisfying the composition, the handling properties can be improved.
