CONTROLLING AGENT FOR FOOD INSECT PEST AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING FOOD INSECT PEST IN FOOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for controlling stored-food insect pests.

SOLUTION: A controlling agent for food insect pests includes D-psicose as an active ingredient. The use of the controlling agent is also provided. Food insect pests can be controlled by using D-psicose, which is harmless to a human and has sweetener properties, for a sweetener or a part of it in food. The technology of controlling food insect pests can be achieved by a simple method wherein only addition and mixing to food is needed.
