<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of seat belt, capable of completing the slack-taking operation of webbing upon the wearing of a seat belt and the housing operation of the webbing upon the releasing of the wearing of the seat belt in a short time while maintaining comfort. <P>SOLUTION: The seat belt 3 has a motor 9 actuated by the supply of an electric current and the webbing 5 is wound up onto a reel 8 by the actuation of the motor 9. According to the control device 1, when the seat belt 3 is worn and when the wearing is released, a target speed WSCMD is set and, at the same time, the supply current ECM to the motor 9 is controlled so that the winding speed WS of the webbing 5 becomes the target speed WSCMD.
