<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vehicle control device capable of suppressing deterioration of a battery by reducing a load on the battery. <P>SOLUTION: In electric power supply control to a driving motor 3, a controller 31 sets an electric power generator preferential mode for covering the electric power supply for the driving motor 3 in accordance with request drive power by generated electric power by an engine 1 and an electric power generation motor 2 and for supplementing the electric power of the generated electric power insufficient for the request drive power with electric power supplied from a high-power battery 4. Accordingly, input and output to/from the high-power battery 4 is suppressed, and a load on the high-power battery 4 is reduced to suppress a heat generation amount.
