<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starter 1 having a cantilever structure, capable of reducing a moving mass of a moving body including a pinion 7 and suppressing inclination of a pinion tube 6 supporting the pinion 7. <P>SOLUTION: A starter 1 includes: an output shaft 5 to which generation torque of a motor 2 is transmitted through a clutch 4; a pinion tube 6 in which a helical spline is fitted on an outer circumference of the output shaft 5; a pinion 7 assembled to a pinion sliding part 6B provided at an end at a front end side of the pinion tube 6; and an electromagnetic switch 9 or the like driving a shift lever 8 by attraction force of an electromagnet and pushing out the pinion tube 6 via the shift lever 8 to an anti-motor direction integrally with the pinion 7. In the starter 1, the output shaft 5 and the clutch 4 do not move when starting an engine, and the pinion tube 6 and the pinion 7 are integrally pushed out to the anti-motor direction relative to the output shaft 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
