<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foldable electronic instrument, in which backlash in a twisting direction between casings can be prevented while a width of a parallel biaxial hinge is minimized. <P>SOLUTION: The instrument includes: a first casing 10; a second casing 20; and a hinge mechanism 30 connecting the first casing with the second casing in an openable and closable manner. The hinge mechanism includes: a pair of parallel biaxial hinges 34 and 35 that include a first hinge shaft 31 and a second hinge shaft 32 being in parallel with each other, and in which the first hinge shaft and the second hinge shaft of the respective parallel biaxial hinges are connected with the first casing and the second casing, respectively; and a connection rod 36 for connecting both of the parallel biaxial hinges. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
