<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a load when synchronizing contents by a plurality of content processing devices. <P>SOLUTION: A transmission means in a content processing device transmits a reference time acquisition request to obtain timing to synchronize a plurality of contents to be executed by each of a plurality of execution means in a plurality of content processing devices, to a device connected through the Internet and providing reference time information indicative of a reference time. A reception means receives the reference time information and processing time information indicative of a processing time from when the device receives the acquisition request to when it transmits the reference time information. A calculation means obtains a one-way communication time using a predetermined procedure, and subtracts the reference time from a time of an addition result obtained by adding the obtained one-way communication time to a transmission time, so as to calculate as an offset time indicative of a deviation between a time being output from a time output means and the reference time.
