<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for processing contaminated soil which is collected in order to decontaminate radioactive substances. <P>SOLUTION: Contaminated soil 150 is put and stored in a hollow part 140 formed in a sea floor-based caisson 100. The emission of a gamma ray from the contaminated soil is doubly prevented by two substances having an effect to shield the gamma ray: concrete which is a material of the caisson 100 and sea water surrounding the caisson 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
