摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a satellite radio wave receiving apparatus in which the time for receiving a radio wave from a positioning satellite is shortened without enlarging circuit scale. <P>SOLUTION: A satellite radio wave receiving apparatus comprises detection operation means which performs detection operation of a satellite signal of a predetermined receiving frequency from digital data of A/D converted received radio signals, capture means which retrieves a detection frequency of the satellite signal by performing data acquisition and arithmetic operation in turn for each receiving frequency with the first number of bits per data sample through the detection operation means, setting means which sets the second number of bits less than or equal to the first number of bits and the number of parallel processes by the detection operation means in accordance with a reception strength of the detected satellite signal, and identification means which identifies the receiving frequency of the satellite signal by performing data acquisition and arithmetic operation in parallel for each of the receiving frequencies as many as the number of parallel processes with the second number of bits per data sample through the detection operation means.
