<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve developing efficiency while reducing the adhesion force of toner to a toner holding surface during development. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a developing device comprising: a toner holding body 2 which is provided to face an image holding body 1 on which an electrostatic latent image is held, has a rotatable support 3 and an elastic body 4 which is provided on the surface part of the support 3 and in which at least the surface is elastically deformed so as to be movable along the surface direction and holds toner on the surface to convey; and vibration applying means 5 for vibrating the surface part of the toner holding body 2 along the surface direction, wherein the vibration applying means 5 comprises: a vibrator 6 which is provided on the surface part of the elastic body 4 and vibrates so as to apply vibration along the surface direction with respect to the toner holding surface of the toner holding body 2; and vibration force providing means 7 which provides a vibration force to the vibrator 6 so that the vibrator 6 vibrates at a site corresponding to a developing region DR in which at least the electrostatic latent image on the image forming body 1 is subjected to developing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
