<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a downsized illumination device which has an improved light utilization rate and reduces occurrence of interference patterns, and a display device. <P>SOLUTION: An illumination device comprises a light source part including a laser source, an optical element arranged on an optical path through which a laser beam from the laser source proceeds, an optical member to emit illumination light, and a drive part which displaces the relative position between the optical element and the optical member such that at least one of the incident position and the incident angle of the laser beam is shifted in the incidence plane of the optical member. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
