<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor retaining electrical connection by pressing terminal fittings against electrodes of a sensor element provided in the sensor, in which the connection is retained in a pair of closed insulation members, the pair of closed insulation members does not shift in any direction along a virtual plane perpendicular to a mutually closed direction, the mutual positions of the insulation members are stable, and the terminal fittings can be attached to the insulation members without complicated work. <P>SOLUTION: When insulation members 71 are closed by fitting protrusion 77b provided to each of the insulation members 71 with recess 76b provided to the partner insulation member 71, the insulation members 71 are formed so that the recess 76b relatively restricts the movement of the protrusion 77b, in order to prevent one of the insulation members 71 from moving in any of front-back, left-right, and diagonal directions along a virtual plane with respect to the other insulation member 71.
