PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, an image forming system, and a program for reducing an amount of communication data when editing an image by using an external device through communication.

SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: image data recording means for recording image data; transmitting means for transmitting related image data relating to the image data to an external terminal device; receiving means for receiving first editing information indicating details of editing performed to the related image data from the external terminal device; editing information converting means for converting the first editing information to create second editing information indicating details of editing performed to the image data; and image editing means for editing the image data on the basis of the second editing information.
