<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain high speed in performing mail retrieval processing in archives regardless of the number of archive target transmission/reception mails. <P>SOLUTION: When a mail archive retrieval device receives mail information (step S100), the device stores the received mail information for a division index which is to be used for retrieval and is already configured, or for a new division index which is newly configured if the size of the original division index for retrieval is larger than a threshold, according to a mail address included in an address field of the mail information (step S102), and the device further stores and manages the mail address and the division index in association (step S103). Thus, in retrieving mails in archives, the device performs mail retrieval by narrowing down the reference target division indexes on the basis of a mail address and the like of an inspection target user. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
