<p>PURPOSE: A method for determining the separation of a humidification filter and a humidifier using the same are provided to confirm whether the humidification filter is mounted or not and whether absorbing force of the humidification filter is faulty or not without additional equipment. CONSTITUTION: A humidifier comprises a humidification filter(10), a blowing fan(20), a water level sensor(30), a humidity sensor(40), and a control unit(50). The humidification filter humidifies external air by evaporating water absorbed from a water container(70) through the external air has flowed in. The blowing fan forms an air flow according to a driving speed of a motor, thereby supplying the external air to the humidification filter. The water sensor senses a water level of the water container. The humidity sensor measures the humidity of the external air, thereby generating an external humidity value. The control unit calculates evaporation time taken until the water level of the water container becomes lower than a preset water level by using the external humidity value and an air volume of the blowing fan and generates separation signals when the water level of the water container does not become lower than the preset water level after the evaporation time.</p> |
