PURPOSE: A digital input detector and related adaptive power supply are provided to change variable supply voltage, which the adaptive power supply provides, corresponding to critical voltage of an input transistor, thereby reducing total power consumption of the input detector and the related adaptive power supply. CONSTITUTION: An interface(320) of a pre-amplifier(308) includes one or more digital input detectors(322) with related adaptive power supply(324). A digital input detector includes an input transistor. The adaptive power supply includes output which provides variable supply voltage to the digital input detector. The variable supply voltage is changed corresponding to critical voltage of the input transistor.
