<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document camera having superior portability than a conventional document camera. <P>SOLUTION: A document camera 100 includes: an arm section which includes a first arm section 130 having a camera 136 at a tip and a second arm section 120 for supporting the first arm section 130 and can fold the first arm section 130 and the second arm section 120; and a body section 110 including a housing recess 114 for housing the arm section in a folded state when the camera is not used, and an operation section 112. When the document camera is not used, the arm section is folded so that the first arm section 130, the second arm section 120 and the body section 110 are in a Z-shape and are housed in the housing recess 114.
