<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device which can accurately display a current position giving less sense of incongruity to a user, upon receiving position information transmitted from an indoor transmitter. <P>SOLUTION: A navigation device comprises: a GPS type determination unit 21 for determining whether a position calculated by a GPS receiver 1 is a position calculated by information received from a GPS satellite or a position indicated by position information received from an indoor transmitter; a measurement unit 23 for determining a position by using position information received from the GPS receiver 1, a direction calculated by a direction detection device 3, speed calculated by a speed detection device 4, and a map database stored in a storage device 5; and an indoor position estimation unit 22 for estimating the time when its own vehicle has traveled a place indicated by the position information transmitted from the indoor transmitter.
