<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular device in which a delay in starting up software does not occur even when a NAND flash memory is reset because data cannot be backed up normally. <P>SOLUTION: When data backup is not normally terminated, a reset sequencer 3 starts up a CPU 5 to change the state of an SD card 7 from an "idle" state to a "tran" state, without waiting for a start-up factor. Thus, at the time of next accessory-on after data backup is normally terminated, the SD card 7 is already in the "tran" state.
