<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately calculate remaining number of sheets which can be stacked on a sheet delivery tray in accordance with a sheet thickness and a folding mode. <P>SOLUTION: A sheet processing device measures and calculates a distance from a home position HP of the sheet delivery tray 8 to a current position of the sheet delivery tray and to a folded and stacked section X of a stacked sheet P using a distance sensor 20. The sheet processing device compares the distances with a distance to a sheet stacking upper limit position H, and if these distances are not equal, moves the sheet delivery tray 8 by a constant distance until a calculated distance and the distance to the sheet stacking upper limit position H are equal. Subsequently, the sheet processing device converts and calculates the remaining number of sheets which can be stacked on the sheet delivery tray 8 using sheet thickness information, sheet folding mode information or the like. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
