TECHNIQUES TO PROVIDE ENTERPRISE RESOURCE PLANNING FUNCTIONS FROM AN E-MAIL CLIENT APPLICATION

Techniques and apparatuses for providing access to enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems from e-mail applications are described. In an embodiment, an apparatus includes a processing unit and a client e-mail application executing on the processing unit. An add-on application may be installed on the client e-mail application. The add-on application allows the client e-mail application to receive an ERP action from an ERP system via a supply hub; act on the ERP action with a second ERP action; and send the second ERP action to the ERP system via the supply hub.
