SUBSTRATE HOLDING MEMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substrate holding member that is used in a substrate tray for transporting and storing a substrate such as a liquid crystal display panel member constituted of a plate-like material including a functional layer at the surface thereof, and is configured to be readily and reliably mountable without using a fixture.

SOLUTION: The substrate tray 11 includes a substrate supporting part 13 supported by a frame and holding the substrate from the lower side thereof in a frame inside region of the tray frame by setting a surface direction of the substrate 111 constituted of a plate-like material that is formed into a square shape and has stiffness as a horizontal direction. The substrate holding member 14 that is fixed to the substrate supporting part and holds the substrate can be fixed by fitting fitting parts to each other or by means of insert fitting without using a fixture.
