<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle weight estimation apparatus which is capable of accurately estimating the weight of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A vehicle weight estimation apparatus 100 comprises an excitor 11 which is provided in a vehicle 1 and excites the vehicle 1, a vibration detection section 12 which detects vibration of the excited vehicle 1, a frequency characteristic acquisition section 13 which acquires frequency characteristics of a body of the vehicle 1 on the basis of a detection result of the vibration detection section 12, and an estimation section 15 which estimates the weight of the vehicle 1 on the basis of the acquired frequency characteristics and a reference value stored beforehand. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
