<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidity detector having high sensitivity. <P>SOLUTION: A humidity detector 5 has a housing member 8 integrally equipped with a connector 6 and a connector terminal 7 member which carry out output/input to/from the outside; an electronic circuit substrate 10 mounted on the housing member 8, and electrically connected to the connector terminal 7; and a humidity detecting element 9 provided on the electronic circuit substrate 10. The humidity detector 5 is attached to an installation hole 3 provided at a part of a main passage 1 in which intake air flows, thereby exposing a part of the housing member 8 to the intake air flowing in the main passage 1. The housing member 8 is provided with a sub passage 13 for taking in a part of the intake air, and the sub passage 13 is equipped with an inlet opening portion 14 which is an intake port of the intake air, and an outlet opening portion 15 for discharging the taken air.
