<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to accurately self-diagnose whether or not a cause is due to a fault of a radio communication device itself if the radio communication device has not been able to receive a transmission signal from another radio communication device for a long time in a radio communication device performing transmission and reception in time division. <P>SOLUTION: When a radio communication device is right after activation, or a non-reception duration time, when the radio communication device has not been able to receive a signal from another radio communication device, has reached a diagnosis start determination period, fault diagnosis of the S160 and after is started. The fault diagnosis is performed by forming a folding-back path such that a transmission signal will be input from a transmission-system power amplifier to a reception-system low noise amplifier (S160), sequentially reading in the reception level of the transmission signal, the reception duration time of the transmission signal, and reception data (S170, S200, S230), and based on each of these parameters, sequentially determining abnormality of gain control of each amplifier, abnormality of the transmission-system power amplifier and a frequency conversion unit, and abnormality of modulation and demodulation units (S180, S210, S240). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
