<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cup type beverage automatic vending machine including a light guide plate using LEDs as a lighting apparatus which can be retrofitted even to an automatic vending machine having an existing thin front door. <P>SOLUTION: In a lighting apparatus using LEDs attached to an existing cup type beverage automatic vending machine, an existing lighting apparatus attachment plate 12 arranged so as to face the whole respective parts of a display part such as a flavor card composed of a light transmissive member arranged at a front door of the existing cup type beverage automatic vending machine, and positioned inside the front door which can be irradiated from a back face includes a support member 7 formed with a recessed portion 8 at its lower end to support a light guide plate 2 as a lighting device which can slide right and left by using the recessed portion 8 as a guide. The support member 7 is provided with an L-shaped fastener 9 which can be screwed at both right and left edges at its upper end, and the light guide plate 2 is engaged with the recessed portion 8 in the support member 7 at its lower end.
