<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing compost that ferments pruned branches and leaves to make them into compost in a short period without using livestock excreta as an additive. <P>SOLUTION: A method of producing compost includes: a pruned branches and leaves chipping process, in which pruned branches and leaves are crushed and an almost cylindrical pruned branches and leaves chip material 1 is produced; a heaping up process, in which a heap body 3 is formed; a first nutrient source spraying process, in which a nutrient source 2 made from fermentation molasses 4 which has fermented and adjusted fermenting molasses 5 in advance and water 6, is sprayed onto the heap body 3; a first stirring process; a first fermentation process; a second nutrient source spraying process, in which the nutrient source 2 is sprayed onto the heap body 3 again; a second stirring process; and a second fermentation process. Three-step fermentation processing is performed: preliminary fermentation, in which fermenting molasses 5 are fermented in advance and fermentation molasses 4 to be the nutrient source 2 are prepared; first fermentation; and second fermentation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
