<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vehicle in which insulation between an external power supply and a high-voltage system of the vehicle is secured, and has a favorable balance between efficiency aspect and cost. <P>SOLUTION: The electric vehicle 100A includes a main battery 110, a charging inlet 190A, and a first power conversion unit 120. The first power conversion unit 120 includes a second power conversion unit 128 for converting DC power transmitted to the inlet 190A to AC power, an insulating transformer 121 for receiving AC power from the second power conversion unit at the primary side, and a third power conversion unit 129 for converting AC power transmitted to the secondary side of the insulating transformer 121 into DC power for charging the main battery 110. Preferably, the electric vehicle 100A further includes relays RA1, RA2 provided between the second power conversion unit 128 and the charging inlet 190A and capable of opening/closing a power transmission channel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
