<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical discharge machining technique or an electro-discharge machining technique for use in a confined space. <P>SOLUTION: A machining apparatus for machining a workpiece includes: a discharge machining head assembly 30; a slide assembly 28 for supporting the head assembly; an electromagnet 26 configured to support the slide assembly on a surface of the workpiece, for machining one region of the workpiece; three manual sliders 34, 38 configured to provide three adjustment axes for the discharge machining head assembly; and a tilt and swivel vice 42 configured to provide two adjustment axes for the discharge machining head assembly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
