PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dementia diagnosis kit containing new Aβ22(pE)-42 peptide to be specifically coupled with amyloid β antibody in blood as an active ingredient.

SOLUTION: Peptides with a specific sequence coupled with amyloid β antibody are searched and it is confirmed that Aβ22(pE)-42 peptide has high immunoreactivity to the amyloid β antibody of blood serum of an Alzheimer disease patient as compared with that of a normal person, so that the Aβ22(pE)-42 peptide can be used as the active ingredient of the dementia diagnosis kit and can be effectively used for dementia diagnosis of which the initial diagnosis may be difficult.
