<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a basis for the structure of a light-weight heald shaft, which provides possibilities for fastening profile pieces provided so as to permit the input of large force into a profile rod as well as the output of such force therefrom, and which can handle great loads, while making the profile rod with extremely thin walls. <P>SOLUTION: A profile rod (15) preferably consisting of an extruded aluminum profile comprises lateral walls (18 and 19) having two snap-in zones (25 and 26) which project toward each other and extend in parallel with each other over the entire length of the profile rod (15), and which are located on the same height.
