<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which, when an image pickup element is vibrated by a plurality of resonance modes to eliminate dust in the vicinity of the image element, differences are seen in timing for realizing peak accelerations. <P>SOLUTION: The image pickup device comprises: an imaging element for converting an optical image to an electric signal; an optical member which is arranged in front of the imaging element and transmits the optical image; a vibrating element for vibrating the optical member; and a drive control section for applying sequentially multiple sets of frequency bands having defined frequency bands for vibrating the optical member so as to drive the vibrating element. Each of the multiple sets of frequency bands is generated by sectioning respectively multiple continuous frequency bands different from each other into multiple small frequency bands and pairing at least one band of the multiple small frequency bands selected from each of the multiple continuous frequency bands with another band. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
