<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust muffler, capable of obtaining a large silencing effect without a decrease in output. <P>SOLUTION: An exhaust muffler for silencing exhaust gases, introduced from one side, and discharging them to the other side, includes: a silencing chamber forming part 24 having first to third chambers 21-23 disposed in order from the other side to the one side; an inlet pipe 25 passing from one end 25a opened to the outside of the silencing chamber forming part 24 through the first chamber 21 and the second chamber 22, with the other end 25b opened to the first chamber; an outlet pipe 27 having one end 27a opened to the second chamber 22, passing through the first chamber 21, and having the other end 27b opened to the outside of the silencing chamber forming part 24; a first communication path 28 for making the first chamber 21 communicate with the second chamber 22; and a second communication path 29 for making the second chamber 22 communicate with the third chamber 23.
