<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens drive device having an excellent controllability by preventing engagement and free wheeling of a lead screw and a nut. <P>SOLUTION: In a lens drive device (2), a nut (18) is screwed into a screw (a lead screw 16) which is attached to a rotating shaft (14) of a motor (a stepping motor 12A or 12B) and rotated, and screw rotation is converted into movement in an axial direction by the nut so as to move a lens holder (a lens holder unit 8). The lens holder or the nut is brought into contact with a stopper (41A, 41B or an erecting wall 22) disposed at the moving end of the lens holder or the nut, so as to set the location of the lens holder. The angle of a screw thread (52) formed on the screw is changed from an angle of the root (54) of the thread formed on the nut so as to loosen the screwing between the screw and the nut. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
