<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intraocular lens insertion instrument capable of being suitably put in an in-use state from a storage state. <P>SOLUTION: The intraocular lens insertion instrument including: an insertion part formed with an inner wall for folding an intraocular lens and adapted to insert the intraocular lens folded from an incised wound of an eye; a cylinder body part provided with push means for pushing the intraocular lens placed on an axis movably in forward and backward axial directions; a restriction member attached to the cylinder body part to restrict movement of the intraocular lens at least in the axial directions without applying stress outside the axis; and a release member including a contact portion for releasing the restriction of the intraocular lens by the restriction member and contacting and pushing the intraocular lens onto the axis from outside the axis for movement, wherein the release member includes a contact portion to be brought into contact with the intraocular lens when the restriction by the restriction member is released, the contact portion has a contact surface as a setting surface where the intraocular lens released by the release member from being restricted is placed when pushed by the pushing means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
