<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camshaft supporting structure for an engine which can downsize the engine and can suppress vibration of a valve gear by properly arranging bolts for connecting a cylinder head and a cylinder, and the valve gear. <P>SOLUTION: The camshaft supporting structure 53 for the engine 3 includes: the cylinder 42 having a cylinder bore 51; the cylinder head 43 having a valve gear chamber 56 for housing the camshaft 55; and a plurality of bearings 57 for rotatably supporting the camshaft 55; and the plurality of bolts 58 which are located almost parallel to the center line of the cylinder bore 51, connect the cylinder 42 and the cylinder head 43 at multiple sections, one of connected sections being overlapped with any of the bearings 57 and located outside the valve gear chamber 56 when viewed from in a direction intersecting with the rotation center of the camshaft 55. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
