<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label base composition excellent in film characteristics such as tensile strength and impact strength, in film forming suitability such as a softening point for film forming, powder characteristics and fixability, and in printability, and to provide a label base, an apparatus for producing a label, and a method for producing a label. <P>SOLUTION: The label base composition contains, as a main structural component, a polyester resin having a unit as a main component formed by condensing an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid and an aliphatic diol. The label base is obtained by using the label base composition and an electrophotographic image forming apparatus including at least an image forming unit and a fixing unit, through the steps of: developing the label base composition as a solid image in a desired label shape by the image forming unit; and transferring and fixing the solid image to a surface coated with an adhesive of a release paper. Thus, the label base is obtained as composed of the release paper and the solid image of the label base composition fixed in a film state to the adhesive-coated surface of the release paper. The apparatus for producing a label transfers and fixes a toner image onto the label base to produce a label with a desired label image formed thereon. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
