PURPOSE: A multiview 3D image display device and a method thereof are provided to enable a plurality of viewers to watch a 3D image together by increasing the number of image viewing points for the 3D image. CONSTITUTION: A position confirming unit(110) obtains information about positions of viewers by using glasses devices(200). A synchronization sequence determining unit(120) determines a synchronization sequence based on the obtained position information. An image stream generating unit(130) selects view images corresponding to the positions from an original image stream and allocates the selected view images according to the synchronization sequence. The image stream generating unit sequentially displays the image viewing points of a generated multiview image stream.
