<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-electrostatic colored resin particle which never inhibits electrophoresis of colored electrophoretic particles. <P>SOLUTION: The non-electrostatic colored resin particle is obtained by covering the surface of a pigment particle including a metal oxide treated with a surface treatment agent with a polymer of a silicone macro monomer, a vinyl monomer free from polar group, a reactive dispersant obtained by polymerizing α-methylstyrene dimer, and an aromatic monomer free from polar group in the presence of a non-polar solvent. When the particle is sealed between ITO electrodes which are parallel flat plates with an interelectrode distance of 50 μm with it being dispersed in a silicone oil having a dynamic viscosity of 100 cSt at a solid content concentration of 10 wt.%, and voltage of 15V is applied thereto for 60 seconds, the particle shows an electric charge amount of 20 nC/cm<SP POS="POST">2</SP>or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
