<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanning endoscope system that automatically corrects a scanning position. <P>SOLUTION: This optical scanning endoscope system includes: an optical fiber that guides light incident on an incident end to an emitting end and emits it from the emitting end; an optical fiber scanning means provided near the emitting end of the optical fiber and close to the incident end of the optical fiber, bends the optical fiber by pressing the side face of the optical fiber from first and second directions orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the optical fiber and orthogonal to each other, and spirally rotates and scans the emitting end of the optical fiber; a control means that controls a bending quantity and a bending direction of the optical fiber; and a detecting means that is disposed on the emitting end side of the optical fiber with respect to the optical fiber scanning means and detects the rotation trajectory of the emitting end of the optical fiber. The control means controls the bending quantity and the bending direction of the optical fiber, on the basis of the rotation trajectory of the emitting end of the optical fiber detected by the detecting means, such that the rotation trajectory of the emitting end of the optical fiber forms a substantially circular shape. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
