<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal member detection device capable of achieving miniaturization and cost reduction, and also capable of detecting a fraud. <P>SOLUTION: The device includes: a magnetic field generating means 5 at the side of a passage 3 where a metal member passes; and a magnetic field detection means 6 for detecting change in a magnetic field from the magnetic field generating means 5, which is caused when the metal member passes the passage 3. The magnetic field detection means 6 has a magnetic detection element 8 capable of detecting the magnetic field in multiple axial directions different to each other, and the passage of the metal member and the directions thereof etc. are detected by combining detection results of the magnetic detection element 8. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
