PURPOSE: A system for unified operation of a shared car and a method thereof are provided to allow multiple customers to operate and manage a shared car. CONSTITUTION: A car operation sever(200) includes an operation control module(202), a car management module(210), a reservation and contract module(212), a sales management module(214), a customer management module(216), a security module(218), a sales management module(220), a driver management module(222), a care information database(DB)(240), a customer information DB(242), a schedule DB(244), and a payment DB(246). The car management module generates information about a shared car by checking real-time movements of the shared car and transmits the information about the shared car to a user terminal which is connected through the wire/wireless Internet. The reservation and contract module generates driving schedule information about a selected car, transmits the generated driving schedule information to the selected car, stores and manages the schedule information. The sales management module interlocks with the reservation and contract module through the operation control module, stores and controls a payment history. The customer management module accepts a person who wants to use a shared car as a member, and stores and manages member information as customer information. The customer management module stores complaints of customers in a database form, stores and manages the complaints in the customer information DB. A security module transmits an authentication number to a customer terminal in order to validate authentication information of a registered customer. The sales management module manages each of local business offices, stores and manages the information about the shared car. The driver management module stores and manages information about drivers.
